Join us for a traditional service of carols and lessons at the church at 4pm!

A good-sized crowd came to the park on Sunday 3rd for the hastily rearranged fireworks display. Many thanks to the large team of volunteers who put on another spectacular and entertaining event

Apologies but we’ve had to move the fireworks from saturday 2nd to Sunday 3rd. Same time – gates open at 6:30

The strong winds forecast from the south – particularly the gusts – mean that we were unable to be sure that we could run the display on the Saturday.

Have you seen this cute cat?

This young male black cat is probably travelling between Brixworth and Old so may well be coming through Scaldwell. If you see him, please call Alex on 07544 817994.

Many thanks and please keep your eyes skinned!

The church had its annual clean on the 3rd August. Polished from top to bottom by a great team of volunteers, fuelled by tea and scones. Thanks to everyone who generously gave their time to keep our church looking so spick and span.

If you missed last year’s Scaldwell Club Treasure Hunt, it will have been a long year of regret and sorrow. But cheer up! The Treasure Hunt has returned and it’s better than ever. Meet at 5pm in your car at the Green on the 7th September for a fun-filled and challenging search for clues in the surrounding countryside. The prize will be….well come along and find out…..

Actual prize may vary…

A packed church on Sunday 21st July witnessed Paul being officially licensed as a Lay Reader in the Church of England. This was the culmination of many years of study and practical training. Many congratulations, Paul!

Many Scaldwell residents and friends from the local area came to the Playing Field on Saturday 20th July to enjoy our annual party. Despite the threatening weather, it stayed just dry enough not dampen spirits.

We enjoyed great music from Backbeat and Unpredictable, followed by a lively disco to close out the evening. As always thanks go to the dedicated Club committee plus many other helpers who set the field up, ran the bar, and then turned up on Sunday morning to do a lot of clearing up.

Please note that the Village Club will be closed on the evening of 19th July as the staff will be preparing for the Party in the Park on Saturday
