We know that many people – especially younger residents – are keen for the Playing Fields to be re-opened as soon as possible. There are a number of steps that need to be taken before we open that gate though – as you might imagine, insurance terms and risk assessments all need to be considered first. Please be assured that there is a lot of work going on to get the Playing Fields re-opened!

It’s been three months since the bishops ordered the closure of church doors (interestingly for the first time since 1213, when the Pope was having a row with bad King John). The good news is that the bishops are now allowing us to open up – slowly and carefully. So our church will be open between 10 and 4 each day; inside are a few simple instructions to keep the building Coronavirus-free.

Do enjoy our wonderful church building, a reminder that whatever horrors can be cooked up by man, some things remain good, beautiful and eternal.
