So, for those of you interested in Gigaclear’s new broadband service, there have recently been a few changes you may not know about.
There has been some confusion among customers ordering the installation service with Gigaclear to date. Although the company has always stated this service is from £95, the actual cost is often higher as the trunking and length of cable used is charged extra.
To avoid misunderstandings, Gigaclear is now operating a more transparent pricing structure so customers will know upfront the whole price they will pay. This is not an increase but a clearer way of informing customers.
The self-install option is still available.
There are 4 pricing bands for installation, which are now fixed, and you can find out more about what’s included in each band here: http://www.gigaclear.com/our-broadband-products/for-home/home-broadband-packages/ – bottom
The activation fee of £100 remains the same and once you have ordered this they will take care of that for you. An independent installer will then make contact to arrange a date to do your installation. It is at this point, when your service is live, that you will start paying for the Gigaclear service.
Great news! Gigaclear have started works on our brand new ultrafast network in your village and thought we’d tell you exactly what’s coming up. While we aim to minimise disruption, we’d like to thank you in advance for your patience as we carry out our work.
What we’re doing
Our network is built entirely underground. It’s more reliable, future proof and there are fewer visible elements – we only leave individual connection pots, similar to water access points, above ground which are all connected back to one centralised green cabinet that will be situated in a suitable location on the public highway within the village.
Our current plans and processes are:
Please note:
Whilst we aim to complete our work by these estimated dates, they may be subject to change due to external factors that are not under our control.
