This is a really nice walk up to the abandoned village of Faxton and back through Old. We finish at the Club for a traditional Ploughman's lunch.

About the Event
One of the nicest walks out of Scaldwell, this takes us up to the village of Faxton, abandoned in the middle of the last century as there was no vehicular access. We will then walk across the fields to Old before heading back into Scaldwell for a well-earned ploughman's lunch served at the Community Club. This is not a strenuous route and there is no time pressure; this is very much a gentle stroll in our beautiful countryside.
We are asking people to register an interest so that we know how many people to cater for and we are making a small charge of £5 per head (paid on the day) to cover the food. If you want to come along but don't want to eat at the Community Club then feel free to just turn up! Hope to see you there and let's keep fingers crossed for a sunn…
